"The Year of Magicial Thinking"

Oh, shoot! Vanessa Redgrave didn't win a Tony for "The Year of Magical Thinking." I can't be too disappointed, I suppose, since I didn't see any of her competitors' work (exile from New York has its repercussions). Nevertheless, she was amazing. She captured the grief, anger and even the humor of Didion's memoir.

I hope that someday someone will translate Isabel Allende's memoir Paula into a play or a movie. Well, I hope that someone who understands the material will do the translation. To this day, that book still stands out as one of the most amazing books I have ever read.
